About Me

Hello and welcome to my webpage!!!  My name is Sarah Bare and I am currently a History Major at LSU-Shreveport.  I am technically a junior but since I have just recently changed my major I guess you could call me a sophomore.  I graduated from Mt. Olive Christian High school in Athens, Louisiana in May of 2005. That fall I moved to Shreveport to go to college. I hope to gain my Bachelors Degree in History from LSUS and then go on to receive my Masters as well as my PhD. My ultimate goal is to teach history at the college level as well as conduct research in history. When I am not working toward my academic goals you can find me at the local Best Buy slaving away for some hard earned money!! lol

Interests

Since I an a History major it would make since that I have an interest in the subject.  I love history!! Any kind of history is ok with me, but my favorite is European.  Especially Tudor and Stuart England.  The stories are like a medieval soap opera!!  Not only am I interested in English history I am also interested in French as well.  I am in my second semester in French at lsus and love it.  It can be very challenging at times but is fun to speak. J' adore parler le Francais. I am also a big music fan. I am interested in all different kinds of music.  Everything from the fifties all the way to today.

Family

Before I moved to Shreveport I lived in Jamestown, Louisiana with my parents.  I have three older brothers and six nephews and one niece.  Its pretty busy during the holidays since there are sixteen of us!! But I love it. It's great having such a family. After I moved out of my parents house in 2005 they were a little lonely so they decided to adopt.  But the adoption was of the four legged kind!! They adopted a dachshund named Sammie when she was 6 weeks old.  She was very cute but very mean!! In 2006 my dad decided to extend our family by breeding Sammie.  And so on November 22,2006 Lady Belle and Molly Belle were born .  Lady Belle is my dog but continues to live with my parents. Also part of my family are my two best friends and roommates , Allyson and Angela.  We have actually known each other since Kindergarten but didn't actually become friends until our Sophomore year in college.  We now share a house and have fun every minute together!!
